ခႏၱာကိုယ္မွာ အ႐ွက္လံုရံု

အဝတ္တစ္စံု ဖံုးထားတယ္

My body is adorned with clothes just enough

to cover the shame

ကိုယ့္အသက္အတြက္

လက္တစ္ဖက္မွာ ေသနတ္တစ္လက္….

In one hand hold a gun to cover my life

ေက်ာထက္မွာ

အိုးစားဖက္ေတြ အတြက္

အသက္႐ွင္ေရး ေမ်ွာ္လင့္ခ်က္ေတြ

On my back are life expectancies for my comrades

စုျပံဳထမ္းပိုး ၿပီး

ေျခတစ္လွမ္း လွမ္းလိုက္တယ္

I started a foot step carrying those all on my back

ပင္လယ္ေရမ်က္ႏွာျပင္အထက္

ေပေပါင္းမ်ားစြာ…….

So many feet above the sea level

ဘယ္ေန႔က ေဆာင္းကုန္ၿပီး

ဘယ္လက ေႏြေပါက္ခဲ့သလဲ

Which day does the winter stop and

which month the summer crept in?

ေျမခင္းတစ္ထည္နဲ႔

႐ွာၾကံထားရတဲ့ အေႏြးဓာတ္ဟာ

ေနထြက္သည့္တိုင္

ခိုက္ခိုက္တုန္ဆဲ အေအးဓာတ္ကို

မေက်ာ္လႊားႏိုင္ခဲ့…….

The warmth laboriously searched using the bed sheet

Is not enough for the cold which is still bone

cracking even when the Sun came out.

မိုးရြာခ်ိန္မွာ ေျမခင္းဟာ မိုးကာျဖစ္ၿပီး

ညအိပ္ခ်ိန္မွာ ေျမခင္းဟာ အိပ္ရာျဖစ္သတဲ့

မိုးရြာတဲ့ ညေတြမွာ ေျမခင္းဟာ……..

The bed sheet is a rain coat when it rains;

And it is the bed sheet at night sleeping time.

What about the rainy nights?

ေက်ာတစ္ခင္းစာ အိပ္ရာအတြက္

ကမၺလာေျမႀကီးကို ေက်းဇူးတင္မိသလို

တသြင္သြင္စီးဆင္းေနတဲ့ ေသာက္ေရ အတြက္

စိမ့္စမ္းေလးေတြကို ေက်းဇူးတင္မိပါရဲ႕

Thanks to the mother earth for one bed space;

Thanks to the small streams for

their everlasting drinking water.

Grasses can be boiled without cooking oil;

One airplane flight’s one gallon of fuel equal how much food rations???

မ်က္လံုးကို စံုမွိတ္ၾကည့္လိုက္ေတာ့

ျမင္ေနရတာက

အ႐ိုးၿပိဳင္းၿပိဳင္းထေနတဲ့ ႏိုင္ငံ့ပိုင္နက္

When you close your eyes; one see

our nation’s territory where only bone structure is left!

မ်က္လံုးကို ဖြင့္ၾကည့္မိတဲ့ ျမင္ကြင္းက

အ႐ိုးပါျမဳပ္ၿပီး ပိုင္နက္ကို ျခံစည္း႐ိုးခတ္ေန႐ွာတဲ့

အစိမ္းေရာင္ေျမပံုေလးေတြ…..

When you open your eyes; you see

the green tombs, building fences

with our bodies and bones!!!

ေလတိုက္တိုင္း ေဖြးေဖြးလႈပ္သြားပံုက

စြန္႔႐ွာေလသူတို႔ အ႐ိုးေတြ ထထ တြန္သလိုလို

Whenever the wind blows these tombs are fluttering;

Like the bones of the martyrs are speaking up!!!

အေတြးေတြ မဆံုးခင္

ဝုန္းဒိုင္းက်ဲသြားတဲ့ ဆူညံသံေတြ

လက္နက္ႀကီး လက္နက္ငယ္ ယမ္းခြဲသံေတြ

အသက္ငင္ေနတဲ့ ဗံုးဆံေတြ က်ည္ဆံေတြ

Even before I can close my thoughts

So many noises erupted

Small arms fire, artillery fire, the blasts

Death ringing shells, bullets

ေျမျပင္နဲ႔ ေဝဟင္မွာ

မိုးခ်ိန္းသံေတြ အလား

On the land in the air,

Earth roaring

Like thunder striking

ကမၻာမီးေလာင္တာ မျမင္ဖူးေပမယ့္

ခ်နင္းခံရတဲ့ သားေကာင္ေတြကေတာ့

မ်က္စိေ႐ွ႕မွာ အလဲလဲ အၿပိဳၿပိဳ

Though never seen a world burn out

Fear, worry, and the will to live on;

နာရီေပါင္းမ်ားစြာ ျဖဳန္းတီးလို႔အၿပီးမွာ

The near death eyes may be full of pride

I put aside my hot barreled gun on the ground!!

ေဘးလြယ္အိတ္ထဲက ေျမခင္းကို ျဖန္႔ခင္း

Spread the bed sheet from my side pack on the ground!

ေက်ာပိုးအိတ္ထဲက ေဆးဝါးေတြ ထုတ္ၿပီး

ခေနာ္ခနဲ႔ ေဆးခန္းေလး ဖြင့္လွစ္လိုက္တယ္

Take out the medicines from the back pack;

And open a make-shift clinic!

သိပ္မၾကာခင္ မိနစ္ပိုင္းေလးကမွ

ၾကမ္းခဲ့ ရမ္းခဲ့ သမ်ွ စစ္သားႀကီးေတြဟာ

The strong fighting soldiers of just a few minutes ago

ခုခ်ိန္မွာ မိခင္ရင္ခြင္တြင္းက

ပီဘိ ကေလးငယ္ေလးေတြလိုလို

Are now docile children in their own mother’s lap.

ေဆးဝါးမလံုေလာက္မႈေတြ

They do not know inadequate medicine,

I take out the books I wrapped carefully

with bed sheet not to be rain soaked from my back pack.

က်ိန္းစက္ေနတဲ့ မ်က္ဝန္းအစံုနဲ႔ပဲ

အနာဂတ္ကို ဖတ္႐ႈေနတုန္း

While reading my future with weary and stingy eyes!

အကိုတစ္ေယာက္ စကားက နားထဲၾကားေယာင္လာတယ္

I heard in my ears the voice of a Senior!

“‘စာေမးပြဲဆိုတာမ်ိဳးက ေမ်ွာ္လင့္ခ်က္မထားရင္ေတာင္

အားနာဖို႔ေတာ့ ထိုက္တန္တယ္မို႔လား “တဲ့

Examinations are although you have no expectations!

They are worth to be filled with gratitude.

ေကာင္းကင္ကို ေမာ့ၾကည့္မိေတာ့

ထိန္ထိန္သာေနတဲ့ လမင္းႀကီးဟာ

ကိုယ့္ရဲ႕ အေဝး
